Beautify Local Park

Bolingbrook Lions and Knights of Columbus
Join Forces to Beautify Local Park

Today, October 25, 2025, community spirit was in full bloom as the Bolingbrook Lions Club partnered with the Knights of Columbus to assist the Bolingbrook Park District in planting over 35 young trees at Knights of Columbus Park, located between Rockhurst Road and Northridge Avenue.

More than 40 volunteers, members of both the Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus, joined forces with Bolingbrook Park District staff to dig, place, and plant 3–4 foot trees throughout the park. The goal of the project was not only to enhance the park’s natural beauty but also to help prevent erosion along the grounds and pathways.

“Service is at the heart of what we do,” said one volunteer. “When two organizations come together for the good of the community, the results are something we can all be proud of.”

The Bolingbrook Lions Club would like to thank the Bolingbrook Park District and the Knights of Columbus for their collaboration and dedication. Together, their combined efforts will ensure the park remains a green, inviting space for generations to enjoy.
