This November, we have the honor of celebrating a remarkable milestone — 60 years of service, fellowship, and commitment to the Bolingbrook community. The Bolingbrook Lions Club was chartered in November 1966, sponsored by the Westmont Lions Club, with Robert G. Jansen serving as its first president. From those early beginnings, our Club has grown into an organization recognized throughout the community for answering the call whenever help is needed. Bolingbrook Lions Club
Over the decades, our members have carried forward the Lions motto, “We Serve,” through countless acts of compassion. Our history includes providing eyeglasses and hearing aids to residents in need, supporting vision and hearing screenings, assisting local families, awarding scholarships, supporting youth organizations, collecting thousands of used eyeglasses for reuse, and helping make Beep Baseball a cherished Bolingbrook tradition. As our service has expanded, so too has our commitment to hunger relief, community programs, local organizations, and humanitarian causes both near and far. Bolingbrook Lions Club
We invite you and your guest to join us as we celebrate this extraordinary Diamond Anniversary on Monday, November 16, 2026, at The Levy Center, 251 Canterbury Ln., Bolingbrook, Illinois. The cost is $50 per person, and attire is business casual. Dinner will feature Prime Rib and Chicken, vegetables, salad, and dessert. This special evening will give us an opportunity not only to reflect upon the people and accomplishments that shaped our first 60 years, but also to celebrate the friendships, dedication, and spirit of service that continue to guide the Bolingbrook Lions Club today.
Please see the enclosed invitation for complete details and kindly RSVP to Lion Paul Benetazzo at treasurerblc@bolingbrooklions.org. We sincerely hope you will join your fellow Lions for this memorable evening as we honor our past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the many years of service still ahead.
